*Pattern Release*

For all animal lovers out there I decided to create my own paw print pattern to use in my designs. I already used a version of this design in the pet bed I created earlier in the year, and now you can have a go at these cute Paw Print Coasters.

I simply used square paper and a pencil to design this coaster. They are worked from the bottom up in rows and a border added at the end. I used tapestry crochet for the paw print element and so worked my stitches (UK double crochet or US single crochet) over the top of the yarn not in use, ready to pick up again when needed.

The coasters work up quickly and don't use up too much yarn. I used 100% cotton aran weight yarn using approximately 16g in total per coaster. Great for stash-busting and using up odds and ends. At the same time adding a splash of colour to your coffee table or workspace.

I also have plans to make a larger project from the squares and so have a lot more to make. I'm going to turn them into a pouch/bag for all my pet's bits and bobs. The instructions on how to turn the squares into a bag/pouch will be coming soon.
